hair transplant surgery

Hair transplant surgery removes hair follicles from the back and lower sides of the head, hair follicles are then transplanted to the affected areas. Both methods of transplant surgery: follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transplantation (FUT), have a common question, “what happens after my hair transplant surgery?”

When Will My Hair Grow In?

Every patient is unique therefore, we can see different results. However, the majority of our patients see hair regrowth within three to four months; with full results seen within nine months to one year. Hair regrowth can be sped up with the use of regrowth products such as our SmartPRP® (platelet-rich plasma), this can be injected at the time of surgery.

Will My Hair Fall Out After Hair Transplant Surgery?

Yes, it is completely normal for the transplanted hair follicles to shed within a few weeks of surgery. Rest easy knowing the hair follicles will grow back to their full potential within three to four months.

What Type Of Scarring Occurs?

Everyone heals in their own way as far as scarring goes. FUE and FUT hair transplantation will differ in appearance.
