In an effort to make this a more valuable experience for you, I describe my philosophy of hair restoration surgery generally, as well as my personal approach to each procedure that I perform. I treat each of my patients as I would treat a member of my own family and only make the kind of recommendations to them that I would make to someone dear to me. I believe that it is just as important to point out when patients do not need a particular procedure as when they do.  Each patient's needs are unique and I work with my patients to formulate a plan that will realize their individual goals. It is my belief that listening to patients describe their desires and expectations is the most important part of this process. Dr. Kahen is a graduate of UCLA. He attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. 

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Kahen pursued his medical training in the field of general surgery at affiliated hospitals of New York University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His training is in organ transplant , cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is a member of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.

It was a combination of his passion and personal experience with hair restoration surgery that encouraged Dr. Kahen to pursue this field. Dr. Kahen is the author of a recently published book "Principles of Hair Transplant Surgery" that describes how hair transplant surgery works, and why his approach continues to get the best results.
